Perfect Balance of Strength and Agility
Australian Labradoodles typically fall in the medium to large size range. Adults usually stand between 21-24 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 50-65 pounds. This size makes them sturdy enough for active play yet manageable for most living situations, striking an ideal balance for families and individuals alike.
Diverse Coats and Color Combinations
Australian Labradoodles boast a stunning variety of colors and coat types. Colors range from cream and caramel to black, chocolate, and even parti (multi-colored). Their coats can be fleece (wavy to curly), wool (tight curls), or hair (straighter), all of which are low-shedding. This diversity allows for a unique look while maintaining the breed's allergy-friendly characteristics.
Intelligent & Gentle Companions
Known for their friendly and sociable nature, Australian Labradoodles make excellent family pets. They combine intelligence with a gentle disposition, making them easy to train and a joy to be around. Their adaptability allows them to thrive in various households, from active families to seniors seeking a loving companion.
Low-Shedding & Physically Active Breed
While Australian Labradoodles are low-shedding, they do require regular grooming to keep their coats healthy and mat-free. Brushing 2-3 times a week and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks is recommended. Beyond coat care, they need regular exercise, a balanced diet, and routine veterinary check-ups to ensure they remain happy and healthy throughout their 12-15 year lifespan.
